Visiting the Ancient Rock Carvings

The island of Ometepe was inhabited as far back as 1.500 BC. The old inhabitants were part of a migratory movement from South America that eventually settled in Mexico. There are large numbers of rock carvings dating as far back as 300BC. They may be seen in various parts of the island and also on the Finca itself.
